FINANCIAL SUPPORT

WHY GIVE TO ALPHA PHI OMEGA?

Alumni have the power to ensure that Alpha Phi Omega continues to expand its Cardinal Principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service throughout the nation. Our gifts provide solid financial footing for the Fraternity. Those who came long before us created the flame that today burns brightly as our beloved Fraternity. It is up to us to ensure that the flame continues to burn for future generations of APO members to advance the principles of Leadership, Friendship and Service for their campuses, their communities, and humanity.

One has only to look at APO's stunning record of service to see the evidence of thousands of college students who took the time to make a difference. In 2007 alone, APO members contributed 82,057 total hours of service; raised $218,076 for charity; and reached more than 133,833 of America's youth.

Get on board the engine that will power APO synergy through the 21st century and beyond. Continue the legacy that you began as a student. Become a donor to APO!

"A hundred times every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life are based on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving." – Albert Einstein

1925 CLUB

Honoring the founding year of APO, the 1925 CLUB is a recognition program for students who support the Alpha Phi Omega Annual Fund through a financial gift. It is a way for active brothers to further support the Fraternity's mission and vision, beyond their day-to-day contributions to their chapter, school and community.

What does your gift to Alpha Phi Omega support? Gifts to the Annual Fund directly support member services, chapter support, Fraternity publications, APO's leadership programs and operating needs. Specifically, your gift will help APO grow and develop these programs and services:
  • National Service Week
  • National Programs
  • Expansion Activities
  • Fraternity publications
  • Recruitment materials
  • APO National Convention
Active brothers making a gift of $19.25 or more will be recognized in the 1925 CLUB, receive a lapel pin, and be listed in the Fraternity's Annual Tribute to APO Supporters. Chapters with 100 percent member participation in the 1925 CLUB will be recognized on a display at the National Office.

GIVING OPPORTUNITIES - THE ANNUAL FUND

The Annual Fund supports the day-to-day operating expenses of the Fraternity. It provides much-needed revenue for things such as chapter services, membership records and operating funds for the National Office. Chapters receive supplies and materials, program materials are developed and taught, and the National Office ensures communication throughout the Fraternity.

Matching Gifts

Many donors are beginning to take advantage of corporate Matching Gift programs. Depending on the corporation, employers may match employee charitable contributions dollar-for-dollar or as a percentage of donations made. If donors to APO's Annual Fund choose to participate in their employers' matching gift programs, those contributions are counted toward Torchbearer status. Many donors have been able to double their contributions to the Annual Fund through corporate Matching Gift programs. Donors should check with their employer's human resources office to request the appropriate forms to begin this program. Donors who make gifts of $75 or more to the Annual Fund are recognized as Torchbearers.

Torchbearer levels include:

  • Torchbearer: $75 - $149
  • Silver Torchbearer: $150 - $249
  • Gold Torchbearer: $250 - $499
  • Diamond Torchbearer: $500 - $999
  • Silver Founders Circle: $1,000 - $2,499
  • Gold Founders Circle: $2,500 - $4,999
  • Diamond Founders Circle: $5,000 and above

Torchbearers are listed in the Fraternity's Annual Tribute to APO Supporters which is published each fall and receive lapel pins, certificates and stickers at the various levels.
